    One of North Texas GCSA's real life champions was honored with support and generous cash donations from his fellow members at the Chapter Championship at Southern Oaks. Stephen Best took time from his inspiring battle with melanoma to join his brothers at the tournament and delivered a very important message regarding our health. His heartfelt words put things in true perspective for most in the audience. In return, the tournament participants generously participated in a betting hole that raised over $1300. The North Texas GCSA Board of Directors had voted to match all funds raised that day, so a grand total of $2,680 was donated to the Best family to help with medical and family expenses during this challenging time. Uncharacteristically, Stephen was overwhelmed and almost speechless by the support from our association's members. Blake Lambert (left in the photo) works with Stephen at Sky Creek and manned the betting hole. His dedication and "arm twisting" ability were in great form that day. Way to go, Blake! Great Job!
